DuPage County is the second most populous county in Illinois and home to the 18th Judicial Circuit. All criminal, civil, traffic, and family court matters are handled at the DuPage County Judicial Center in Wheaton. The courthouse is at 505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.

This is the official online portal for the 18th Judicial Circuit. 18th Judicial Circuit — DuPage Courts Official Website

DuPage County State's Attorney's Office
The second-largest State's Attorney's Office in Illinois, prosecuting all felonies and misdemeanors in DuPage County including DUI, domestic battery, drug offenses, theft, and all other criminal matters. They also handle Child Support Enforcement and Victim Services. If you have criminal charges in DuPage County, this is the office on the other side of the courtroom. Do not contact them without an attorney. Call us first.

DuPage County Probation & Court Services
If you have been placed on probation in DuPage County, this is the department that supervises you. They monitor compliance with all court-ordered conditions, conduct random drug testing, and report violations back to the court and State's Attorney. The main office is located next door to the courthouse. DuPage also has a dedicated DUI Court Sentence Monitoring unit — if your DUI sentence involves court monitoring, counseling requirements, or a BAIID device, contact them directly.

Illinois Secretary of State — DUI License Reinstatement
DUI arrests in DuPage County follow the same Illinois Secretary of State reinstatement process as everywhere in the state. A first-offense DUI may qualify for an informal hearing. Multiple offenses require a formal hearing in Chicago or Joliet. DuPage County also has a DUI Court Sentence Monitoring program — if your DUI sentence involves counseling, community service, or a BAIID device, you report to that office separately from your criminal case.

DuPage Circuit Clerk — Traffic Case Lookup
Look up the status of any traffic citation issued anywhere in DuPage County, find your court date, and check for any outstanding fines. All DuPage traffic cases are heard at the 18th Judicial Circuit courthouse in Wheaton — there are no branch traffic courts.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court — Northern District of Illinois (DuPage County)
DuPage County bankruptcy cases are filed in the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, in Chicago. Caroline files Chapter 7 petitions here on behalf of DuPage County clients. The courthouse is located at 219 S. Dearborn Street, Chicago. Hearings for DuPage residents are administered through the Chicago Eastern Division.

DuPage County State's Attorney — Child Support Enforcement
The DuPage County State's Attorney's Child Support Enforcement Unit works to establish paternity, set support orders, and enforce payment — including pursuing wage garnishment and jail time for parents who willfully refuse to pay. To access their services, you must first register with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS). All families with children entitled to support are eligible regardless of income. You can apply online through HFS or call 1-800-447-4278.
DuPage also offers a voluntary ASAP program for families able to negotiate support and parenting time without litigation.

DuPage County — Order of Protection
In DuPage County there are four ways to begin an Order of Protection. If the abuser was arrested, contact the State's Attorney's Office at (630) 407-8010. If the abuser was not arrested, contact Family Shelter Service at (630) 469-5650 — their advocates are stationed at the courthouse and services are free and confidential. You can also begin your petition online at illinoisprotectionorder.org and bring your receipt number to the courthouse. A FREE children's waiting room called Safe Harbor is available on the first floor of the courthouse while you complete the process.

DuPage County Family Center — Mediation Services
The DuPage County Family Center provides mediation services for family law matters including parenting time, support, and property issues. For couples who want to resolve family matters without full litigation, this is a valuable resource. Services are available to parties with cases pending in the 18th Judicial Circuit.

Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services — DuPage
Family Shelter Service is the primary domestic violence organization serving DuPage County. They have advocates stationed at the DuPage County Courthouse daily to help victims prepare Orders of Protection at no cost. Services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter (location kept confidential for safety), counseling for individuals and children, case management, and safety planning. All services are free and confidential.

Prairie State Legal Services — DuPage County
Prairie State Legal Services provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and seniors in DuPage County. They handle family law, housing, consumer issues, and benefits. They also run free expungement clinics in DuPage County on selected dates — if you have a criminal record that may be eligible for clearing, call to ask about the next clinic date.

22nd Judicial Circuit — Official Court Website
The official website for the 22nd Judicial Circuit covers all court divisions, judge information, specialty courts (Drug Court, Mental Health Court, Veterans Court), probation services, and the court's Office of Special Projects. McHenry County State's Attorney's Office
The McHenry County State's Attorney prosecutes all criminal cases in McHenry County — felonies, misdemeanors, DUI, domestic violence, and traffic matters. They also handle Child Support Enforcement and offer Deferred Prosecution programs that may allow eligible defendants to have charges dismissed upon completion of program requirements. McHenry County Probation & Court Services
If you have been placed on probation in McHenry County, you report to the Probation & Court Services office located in the courthouse in Woodstock. Your probation officer conducts office and home visits, monitors your compliance with court-ordered conditions including drug testing, and refers you to treatment or other services. Violations are reported to the court. Weekend drug testing is available at the Woodstock Police Department (656 Lake Avenue, Woodstock)

Illinois Secretary of State — DUI License Reinstatement
DUI arrests in McHenry County follow the same statewide Secretary of State reinstatement process. Formal hearings for multiple-offense DUI are held in Chicago or Joliet. The court scheduling in McHenry County has specific days for different agencies — the Illinois State Police and McHenry County Sheriff have cases on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:00am, and Monday – Friday at 1:30pm for several local agencies. The McHenry County State's Attorney's Office handles child support enforcement for families enrolled in the state's Title IV-D program. To receive their services, you must first register with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. In McHenry County, start your Order of Protection petition online at illinoisprotectionorder.org, then bring your receipt number to the Circuit Clerk's Office in Room 353 on the 3rd floor of the Woodstock courthouse. Turning Point advocates are available in Room 356 of the courthouse — their services are free, confidential, and Spanish-speaking advocates are available. You do not need a police report or evidence to begin the process. Remote appearances by Zoom are also available for

Turning Point is the primary domestic violence organization serving McHenry County. Advocates are available in Room 356 of the McHenry County courthouse in Woodstock. All services are free.
